Roberto Gatti was born in 1953, wine-dresser, of a wine-dresser, rural family in Cazzago San Martino, and a few years later he moved with all his family in Erbusco, true heart of the Franciacorta area. While young, he worked with the father in a popular wine company called Franciacorta; and later alone, for almost 20 years, as a responsible of the wine-cellar and vineyards. In those years he gets in touch deeply with the typical Franciacorta viticulture business and its peculiarities. Meanwhile, he experiences the latest wine-growing techniques, improving his background. In 1975 he married Andreina and together in 1990 they bought 10.000 acres of land in the districts on Adro and Erbusco.

The grapes, rich in sugar, will produce a superb must, that will sparkle in our glass after a long processing and the right period of rest. According to Mr.Gatti’s expectations the hole production for this year will sum up to 300.000 bottles, including 4 types of Franciacorta D.O.C.G. (sparkling white) and 4 types of dry wine, 2 reds and 2 whites, including an I.G.T. Merlot.
